My Decleor Skin Care Routine..

So as many of you know I'm a full time Beauty Therapist and been working as a qualified Decleor Specialist for 4 and a half years now (alongside many other amazing brands I'm going to blog about too, so watch out.) But for some reason, I think it's cause I'm doing it all day every day, I take my beauty knowledge for granted and don't blog about it.

So I've decided to share with you an incite of my knowledge, which clients pay a lot for my advice and also share with you my personal skin care routine.

So if you use any type of facial wipe what so ever either BIN them NOW or exit this page immediately cause alongside soap and water they are my absolute HELL, BUG BARE and the number one reason why young girls have crap skin.

To explain it a little better, would you get home from a night out, pour a little bit of vodka on a cotton pad and proceed to take your makeup off with it? No? Then why are you using these chemically alcohol wipes to cleanse your face? You're spending all this money on expensive makeup so why aren't you looking after the canvas underneath?

I'm going to try and not get to technical here as I can go off on one with this subject. But your skin is basically made up of an acid (your acid mantle) which is your natural protection barrier for all outside elements (free radials) and pollution.
Face wipes and soaps are an alkaline and like a chemical reaction back in school, when an alkaline and an acid combine they turn your pH scale to neutral meaning bye bye natural protection layer, bye bye acid mantle. Your skins now fully exposed to free radicals and pollution to eat away at all your natural goodness and if you're not putting a good moisturiser on too, all the chemicals in your makeup are now free to soak deep into your skin. YUMMY!

So I can now hear you saying you don't have enough time.. worst excuse in the world.

Sometimes in a not so perfect world I forget my cleansers and toners and end up borrowing face wipes when I'm drunk off friends (who refuse to listen) and I'm literally scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing. My eye makeup will NOT budge, my skins getting red and sore and I'm on my 3rd wipe cause my makeup won't come off in one go.

One blob of cleanser into my hands, rubbed together and applied all over my face. One hot muslin cloth or cotton pad. Rub a dub dub.. off in one go and your skins feeling fresh and silky smooth. A little blob of toner onto a cotton pad to close your pores and you're feeling completely refreshed in less than two minutes.

So now I've got THE most important point (alongside moisturising which is self explanatory) off my chest, heres my personal skin care routine, featuring my little Polyvore collage *smug emoji face*

1. Decleor Cleansing Milk - (large white bottle) massively important to use day and night to cleanse and refresh the skin leaving it hydrated and nourished.

2. Decleor Eye Makeup Remover - (smaller blue bottle) such a luxurious oily textured product, not 100% necessary as a lot of the time the cleansing milk removes all my eye makeup too. But for when I've got more stubborn eye makeup on or eyelash glue entwined into my lashes this takes it all away in one sweep without upsetting my extremely sensitive eyes as it's all natural.

3. Decleor Tonifying Lotion - (large pink bottle) after cleansing comes toning to refresh the skin and close all those open pours so no nasties can get inside.. Did you know the pours take up to 8hours to close on their own naturally? So get toning before applying ANYTHING else to your skin.

4. Decleor Neroli Serum - (small serum top left) a serum is a POWER product that you apply before your moisturiser. Basically the molecules of a moisturiser sit on top of the skin, nourish your surface layer and protect your skin from nasties. A serum has much smaller molecules meaning it can travel through every layer of your skin treating skin before it's even surfaced meaning your treating the skin as it's being produced, rather than when it's to late. A serum also makes your moisturiser 63% more efficient when rain dropped on to the skin before hand.

5. Decleor BB Cream - (tall slim tube) I use this is my daily moisturiser as it has all the properties of the Hydra Floral moisturiser, with an SPF 15 and it's tinted to make me look more glowing on makeup free days and provides a good base for my makeup too.

6. Decleor Hydra Floral Eye Cream - (small yellow tube) your eyes are so so important as they're the area that shows your age. The skin around the eyes is so so delicate so needs extra special attention to help hydrate and nourish. Applying thick creams directly onto the delicate skin creates puffiness as the cream has nowhere to go. A light eye cream is to be applied along the eye bones and will expand to where it needs to go as it soaks into your skin.

7. Decleor Neroli Night Balm - (middle jar) made up of the same properties of the serum, the balm is a much more intense version that you apply after cleansing before you go to sleep. The balm is very luxurious and feels thick when applying. The balm sits on the skin and cleverly drip feeds its goodness into your skin over 8 hours whilst you sleep. Leaving you waking up with it completely soaked in and your skin looking amazing and rejuvenated. (fave product)

8. Decleor Hydra Floral Mask - (bottom right tube) an amazing hydrating mask for when your skins feeling a little dull and dehydrated. Massage the creamy formula into the skin until left with a fine oil, leave on for 10minutes and instantly fine lines are smoothed out and  skin is feeling plumped and refreshed.

So there we have it, my skin care routine.
Hope you've all found this interesting, BINNED your face wipes and learnt a little more about the importance of looking after your skin.

You might look a million dollars now whilst you're in you're in your twenties but it's not going to last forever. If you're spending decent money on makeup, why aren't you spending decent money on its canvas? Cause thats the thing you're gonna have to live in for another 60+ years!

Let me know if you found this useful and if you'd like more beauty specific posts?

Four Days in Amsterdam

So finally Amsterdam has been after being so excited for so long. This was the boyfriends Christmas present from myself and it's been the longest wait ever.. I don't know who's been more excited me or him!
Obviously needed an entire new wardrobe for Dam so March was spent shopping..shopping..shopping!

This year we had the BEST idea in the world and stopped over at the Manchester Airport Marriott the night before which to my delight has a San Carlo Restaurant inside the hotel. PERFECT'O filled our tummy's with Italian Stodge (as we might of possibly been out partying all the night the night before) to cure our minor hangovers and full on KO'd at 8:30pm ready for our 4am get up!

Obviously drinking Latte's for a complete change.

Day One

So feeling fresh after our amazing nights sleep at the Marriott, we touched down in Dam for about 9:30am was at the hotel, room checked into and out and about in the city centre for 11am! It was such a beautiful sunny day although a little nippy still and a perfect day to explore!
After fuelling our bellies with some Dam Street Food and Coffee we headed over to Amsterdam Dungeons which has got to be the most HILARIOUS experience of my life. Not cause the actors weren't scary but 99% of the tourists on the tour where high as kites and just so witty and fun, even the actors where struggling to compose themselves. I can imagine it actually being really really scary if it wasn't for all the europeans higher than snoop dogg making it so funny. It was then we decided we needed to try an Amsterdam Coffee Shop for ourselves.

We stumbled across the famous The Bulldog Coffee shop to try out our first cake (when in Dam) and both of us felt absolutely nothing. The worst 14euros ever spent, for the next three hours I kept saying "you feel it yet?" to get the same response NOPE! Even though they where named space cakes I'm genuinely wondering if we just purchased normal over priced cakes haha! We're both first timers so I wanted to feel it like a smack in the face and enjoy the afternoon floating on clouds.

Okay so our first night in Dam I'm booked us into 'Supper Club' and it has got to be the strangest thing I have ever experienced in my life. I needed that entire bottle just to chill me out. The idea is a club come restaurant that you reserve a bed instead of a table and you eat on the beds. It's pretty cool but it's just so weird to be led on a giant bed, in a club next to loads of other couples, eating a meal. It's 59euros for a 5 course surprise menu, which is VERY daring for me as I'm only recently getting more adventurous with my food and still have a massive thing against seafood (except prawns, standard.)
I really enjoyed it though, there was a couple of things I wasn't sure about but at least it's an experience and I can say I've tried them now! The club bit where we was laying/eating was playing house/techno music and downstairs they had a RnB club. I must say if you're looking for something different and wanting to make Amsterdam special I definitely recommend this place as it's a very different experience from anywhere else.

Monday Nights Outfit (comfort and warmth was key)
Fur Pom Hat - eBay
Padded Coat - Zara
Military Jumpsuit - George @ Asda
Cross over bag - River Island
Chelsea Boots - Public Demand

Day Two

So Tuesday we woke up FRESHHH after SupperClub and ready to take on the day. All the clothes I'm wearing in the post above have been featured before, alongside my Nike Air Force Ones and my padded Zara coat, I felt every part a European Tourist!

Tuesday was so much fun we started the afternoon off after lunch by visiting the Heineken Experience. It's absolutely amazing, I was a little bit sceptical at first cause I hate beer but I really really enjoyed every part of it. Even drinking the two free Heinekens at the end despite thinking I didn't like it. To anybody visiting Amsterdam I would definitely put this on your to do list, I loved it!

Tuesday was also St Patricks day and even in Amsterdam everyone's celebrating for the Paddy's hard. All the Irish bars where packed out with crowds of people, pouring out on to the canals drinking Guinness and listening to live Irish singers. There was such a buzz of an atmosphere that we ended up pub crawling until we was drunk up the Red Light District, popped into watch a peep show and even bagged ourselves a free Irish Stew for Dinner. We didn't even end up going back to the hotel but staying out all day in our trainers loving life with the Dutch/Irish.

Day Three

Wednesday was meant to be our day to rent bikes but it was so windy and cold we ended up finding ourselves sheltering indoors in Coffee Shops sampling what the locals enjoy most, window shopping in all the amazing trainer shops (Ell finally got himself a unique Patta jumper which is really cool in the boy world) and wondering around the red light district again (I literally love looking at them all in the windows they're hilarious) we headed down to Anne Franks house after taking a year to find the place to find a two hour long queue in the wind and cold so kinda phased that out and went to the sex museum instead haha! There's so much to do in Amsterdam there's random museums everywhere. After spending the day being silly, laughing so much I nearly wet myself several times and eating lots and lots of fries/waffles and other crap from the street stalls we went on a mission to find the Hard Rock Cafe.. I can't even remember why!

Look how happy I am there with my cocktail.. little did I know at that point it was gonna cost me 24euros. Least I got to take the glass home cause that makes it worth every penny... (insert sarcastic face here)

Wednesday night was our last night (and we'd already had to draw more money out..Dam is expensive!) so we decided to be really cool kids and buy a few beers (for Ell) and a bottle of Prossecco (for me) and have a chilllllllled evening in the hotel listening to jams on the Bose speaker that goes EVERYWHERE with us before heading out for dinner.

We then headed up to the SKYY bar in our hotel before dinner which is an amazing cocktail bar on the 10th floor, completely glass (opens out in the summer) with stunning views over the city. I enjoyed a Pornstar Martini as usual whilst Ell had a more manly stronger cocktail. We was gutted we hadn't been up there earlier cause it was really busy, with such a good atmosphere and a little feeling of class to bring to our afternoon spent in Coffee Shops!

Considering Wednesday was our last night we was planning on going for a really nice dinner and choose to head over to Gauchos for a steak.. Only to actually leave the cocktail bar after a few to many and arriving at Gauchos for 11:45pm to find it closed (classic Heather and Elliot) we found a really nice steakhouse a few doors down called 'Ranchos' we both had a couple of drinks (myself on cocktails) with steak, rice and salad each. All for only 40euros for everything! Bargain of the century, Gauchos being closed was a blessing in disguise which meant we had more pennies to stay out all night partying in what Ell described as 'Magaluf cheesy bars' and basically just crying laughing all night and then try and figure out the night buses and google maps our way back to the hotel, (which I'm sure if you have me on snapchat really appreciated the videos posted on my story haha.)

Day Four

Our last day was hell, we was so hungover but I was determined to get a few 'touristy' photos. I loved the canals, the bikes and the beautiful buildings but all my photos seemed to consist of where drunken selfies. Above I'm wearing :-
Coat - Zara
Roll Neck - Autograph, M&S
Jeans - Topshop
Trainers - Nike Thea
Scarf - McQueen
Sunglasses - RayBan
Bag - River Island

To shake off our hangovers we went looking for Vondel Park and after reading online that this was a legal place to have open sex we thought it would be hilarious to have a wonder through. Zero open sex but the park was beautiful and so peaceful. Runners, dog walkers, families and people lazing around in the grass. Apparently Vondel Park has a lot of free open air concerts throughout the year so if you're planning on visiting Dam it would definitely be worth having a look to see if theres any concerts on.

En route to finding Vondel Park we stubbled across the I amsterdam sign, it's just outside the Van Gough Museum but being the lazy, hungover kids we was on our last day we decided to give any more museum visits a miss and just have a chilled day out together wondering around the city one last time, as it was such a beautiful day. Upon our aimless wondering we came across Barneys Coffee Shop which had been recommended to us for its milkshakes and a smoke. I must say if you're visiting Amsterdam and fancy a smoke, Barney's in our opinion was a much nicer coffee shop than The Bulldog I've posted a photo of above. We also really enjoyed The Green House Coffee Shop just off The Red Light District which had photos on the walls of all the famous people who'd visited there including Rhianna and Snoop Dogg (the only people I can remember haha.)

So hope you enjoyed reading my 2625282 page blogpost on our AMAZING time in Amsterdam! I hope it helps anyone that's travelling over to Dam for the first time to pick up a few tips on where to go.. And anyone that has already been, do you have any recommendations too? Cause I'll definitely be returning!

Who is Heather Milner....?

Apologies for the lack of blog posts recently March has been HECTICCCCC and obviously Amsterdam has been amazing (post to follow)

Anyways the reason for the quick blog post is cause the fabulous iamclaudiawright has nominated me for this pass along 11 questions to get to know other bloggers.. I'm new to blogging and still getting to grips with how things work so I'm pretty excited to do something like this!

So here goes... Meet Heather Milner!

Little Selfie Taken This Morning Before Cheshire Oaks!

1. If you were a contestant on mastermind, what would your specialist subject be?

This is such a hard question to answer seeing I don't have a clue what mastermind is or ever even watched an episode. But I'm guessing it means what am I most clued up about? I'd definitely say Skin Care and Beauty. I'm a full time Beauty Therapist and Skin Specialist so try pull the wool over my eyes over anything Beauty related and you're not getting anywhere. I absolutely love anything to do with products and skin care.. which is why I'm going to focus on doing some more skin/beauty related posts soon!

2. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

PIZZA... easy peasy lemon squeezy... although then I'd end up the size of a massive house and wouldn't be able to get out of bed.. so probs should of picked salad haha!

3. Why did you take up blogging?

Cause I love talking about myself, JOKES! I got seriously asked this question by somebody the other week and this is the first thing that rolled off my tongue! I started doing it cause I love ready other girls blogs. I often get asked about my makeup/outfits/holidays so I just started writing posts as kind of an online diary to share my experiences, likes and interests with others that share similar interests to learn from too!

4. What is your biggest achievement to date and why? (getting into uni and passing driving test NOT allowed!)

Can I  be really cheesy and say learning to be comfortable in my own skin. As a lot of you will of known if following me on social media or read any previous blog posts I used to be a lot bigger. I lost four stone and in the process learned to love myself and stop caring what other people think. I used to try to pretend to be somebody I'm not just to 'fit' in but as I've got older my circles got smaller but it's packed with trust worthy AMAZING people who love me for me and I could not be ANY happier. There's literally no better feeling in the world than feeling confident and not giving two craps what anybody thinks of you! Massive turning point in any twenty something girls life.

5. What is your favourite thing about yourself? And what would you like to change?

Favourite thing about myself is probably how laid back and easy going I am (although my boyfriend would 100% disagree as he's literally horizontal he's that laid back so does require a little nagging) but I'm up for anything, nothing bothers me, whats the point in worrying over something you can't control? See so many people/clients/friends letting silly little things control their lives (guilty we've all been there) and everyones response is Heather I wish I was more chilled like you. Ring me up tomorrow and say wanna go to Australia next month I'd probably say yeah with no idea how I'm gonna get the money but still manage it haha.

Thing I'd want to change is possibly be more organised, it's been my new years resolution for 273636383 years but I suppose that's just my personality and part of my character haha. And on a vein side DESPERATE to have my lips done but absolutely petrified it's gonna go wrong so I've started using the most A-MA-ZING HydroPeptide Lip Plumping gloss to fake it. Also could do to lose a stone but what can you do I'm loving pizza at the minute hahaha!

6. Explain your style in three words.

Black-on-Black

7. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Absolutely MINTED living on an island! (dream land)
Reality.. Doubling the wage I'm currently on, living in my own home and NOT working weekends anymore.

8. What is the most expensive beauty product/item of clothing you own?

Most expensive beauty product... Jesus there's so many I can't even think how much they've cost me now.
Recently bought a £30 HydroPeptide lipgloss. Own cupboards full of Decleor skin care with the most possibly being a 15ml Neroli Serum at £44? But I've bought anti-ageing gift sets for family costing around £80 if that counts.
Most expensive item of clothing (well bag) that I've bought for myself is my Mulberry  Bayswater at £1,500. Which is an absolute bargain considering I got her two years ago, she's travelled the world with me and I've used her every..single..day!

9. What is the story behind your blog name?

I'm feckin addicted, there's literally a Starbucks INSIDE my work... a 100yard walk from the beauty salon. I drink skinny vanillas everyday and despite being 'skinny' they're defo the hidden cause to these little love handles I seem to have gained!

10. Who is your favourite Kardashian and why?

Bahhhhh so hard probably Kendal just cause I fancy her and style crush all over her. But then we all want Khloes attitude, Kourtney's dry humour and Kylies Lips. Kim's a waste of space!

11. If you had a dinner party and could invite three people (dead or alive), who would they be?

My Nana, she was my bestest friend in the whole wide world and I miss her everyday and just to be really soppy cause my Nan's gonna be there, my Grandad cause he's heartbroken without her and her best friend Val cause I know my Nan would love to have one last cup of coffee with her!

I need to come up with some of my own questions and edit this after to add some blogs to return the questions too.. but currently I'm at my Grandads, its 22:14 and he's defo hinting for me to get off the laptop and GO HOME so he can go bed haha.

Hope you've all enjoyed learning some random facts about me.. Thanks again Claudia and look forward to doing my own tomorrow evening!

Carb Overloads, Express Tans. OOTD's and Hooker Boots...

Happy March lovelies, spring is almost upon us!

This months such a busy month my diaries already packed out with lunch dates and nights out with all my lovely ladies. Just call me a professional socialite who's probably going to gain about two stone, on top of the two stone I've already gained. I just can't stop eating out !!!!!

Last Tuesday we had a lunch date at the new Olive Tree a new Greek Restaurant in Preston (I'd already been the previous Friday as well, see what I mean about eating out)
Ell got the Falafel burger with halloumi cheese, humous and sweet potato fries (I had this the previous Friday and can vouch its excellent) and I had the Lamb Kofta Pitta with Tzatziki and fries.
The weekday meal deal is excellent and such a bargain, It's only £10 for a main meal and drink (including coffees and wine.)

So works been that busy this week that I've not been able to get a spray tan :( I wanted to have a new St Tropez dark tan to review on here but even BETTER I ended up having the St Tropez EXPRESS tan on Friday afternoon for Friday evening instead!
Leave on for 1hr - light tan, 2hr - medium tan, 3hr dark tan.
So instead I met Ell for another lunch date (see what I mean) left it on ALL day, then went to do somebody a set of nails, rushed home, loved the colour of the guide tan, so didn't shower and went straight out to meet the girls haha. I'm such a tramp but that's the amazing thing about this tan, there was no stinky fake tan smell, the guide colour was beautiful which with other tans you have to hibernate indoors until they develop and when I did finally shower it off i've been left with a gorgeous dark but natural looking tan that everyones been complimenting me on, even now nearly 5 days on!

So Fridays lunch date was to the Mystery Tea Room in Preston (Cannon Street).. they have the hugest array for teas that literally blow your mind your don't even know where to start. I differently recommend going down if you're a tea drinker and want to try something new.

The food was pretty good too, I had a chicken wrap with greek salad. Reasonably priced and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Fridays OTTD wanting to look ghetto just to pull off my new hat ;)
Fur Beanie - eBay
Jumper - AINT LAURENT WITHOUT YVES
Leggings - Topshop
Khaki Coat - Primary
AIR FORCE ONES

Soz girls we didn't get a group selfie so had to steal your selfies off instagram. Muahahaha!

Friday night I had a reunion at San Marco with some of the most amazing girls I've been blessed to have as friends. As life goes on and we all take different paths we've drifted apart and not been out together in about 3-4years. So Friday was a MUCH needed catch up and like anything with true friends absolutely nothing had changed and we laughed all night. Cannot wait to see these ladies again.

I don't have an OTTD from friday as It's the same outfit I wore to Manchester a couple of weeks ago and who needs to identical outfits on Insta? Not meeeeee!

I have had a few questions about my makeup though from Friday so here goes...

Tan - St Tropez Spray Tan
Foundation - Bare Minerals
Concealer - MAC
Contouring - Anastasia Beverley Hills
Blusher - ILLAMASQUA
Brows - Anastasia Beverley Hills DipBrow
Lashes - Millie Mackintosh in Shoreditch
Lips - Bare Minerals Moxie Gloss

So please my new booties, absolutely amazing!
I generally stalk hot girls on instagram as a hobby and seen these boots knocking about on a few on the beauties but not known where they was from until somebody commented with a link to the website... JUSTFAB!
I signed up to one of these accounts ages ago but never really used it, I never really understood how it worked. So I thought I'd check it out to search down these boots!
If you sign up to be a member you get your order at a discounted price, so the boots where meant to be £60 but reduced to £40... Then when I checked out the website there was a 50% off flash sale so managed to get them for £19.50 including postage, how could I not? Usually I'd probably um and arr about something this out there but at such a cheap price I had to snap them up!

And here they are in all their glory for my mother in laws birthday probably not the most appropriate outfit for a family occasion but I just LOVEEEEEE them so much. I'm not bless with the most amazing legs, so they don't look as amazing as they do on the instagram hotties but I'm on a mission now to slim them down and make the boots look even more fabulous!
OOTD
Jumper - Topshop
Skirt - Primark
Boots - JustFab

And to finish here's another shameless selfie from Saturday night just because I enjoy my hair and the fact that I did it myself!

Sorry for the longest blog post ever but it's covered quite a lot ;)
I'm currently sat in Starbucks typing this waiting on a massage, spa day and afternoon tea! So keep your eyes peeled that will be the next post.... Have a fabulous week!

Amsterdam Shopping..

So if you didn't already know.. how could you not! Im going to Amsterdam next month so already I'm on the prowl for some comfy's for DAM! I have no idea what the vibe is or how the dress code goes but I'm hoping to gain some inspo from a few friends about the night life... I'm guessing its pretty laid back city vibes so I can leave my highest heels at home?

So this is my FEB Lust List - Well Dam Lust List and I'm already a lucky enough girly to own two of these already!

1. Khaki Fedora - Topshop - £25 - I think this Fedora will channel my inner Millie Mackintosh, glam up casual outfits and most importantly save me from trying to do my hair. Hat and GO!

2. Nike Air Force Crocs - £75 - I need to be comfy and stylish in Dam and unfortunately I don't think my boots are going to cut hours of walking and cycling on bikes. With these beauties I'll be able to do comfort stylish.

3. Burberry Trench Coat - £1,195 - Obviously NEVER gonna be able to afford this especially not in the next 3 weeks but a girl can dream. I am in fact in search for a cream trench though as they go with EVERYTHING and I seem to have lost mine :( if you're reading this and I've left it at your house/in your car please holla! I can't find another I like...

4. Mulberry Lily - £850 - Another pipe dream but my Bayswater is TO BIG I've taken it on city breaks before and it just gets to heavy and in the way when out for hours. Especially if out cycling on the bikes so I need a nice (maybe not so expensive) across the body bag so I can zoom zoom zoom.

5. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 - £60 - I've been banging on about getting one of these for so long but the only thing putting me off is how expensive the polaroid film is. So it can't be used for dicking about, only for serious photos. But I love the idea of having an instant photo, a memory there to hold and keep forever. Elliot's reaction when I said I think I might be buying one for Dam was "not a chance, you're going to be a nightmare wanting to take even more photos of me, you're bad enough with an iPhone" why does this kid not like having his photo taking.. doesn't he realise he's hot FFS!

So the fedora.. I went for lunch with Ell today and popped in Topshop on the way past looking for a camel roll neck and stumbled across this beauty. Ell normally hates hats and give me very disapproving looks when I wear hats followed by "you look like a t**t* but for once he approved YAY probably wouldn't of snapped it up as fast usually but for the first time I can wear a hat and he won't moan YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY I feel like Millie Mackintosh.

And I finally got the babies too.. I saw these on net-a-porter at christmas, Ell wanted to get them for me but I was like uhhhh they look a little chunky I don't think I'd be able to pull them off. Anyways saw them Friday in office in Preston and fell head over heels seeing them in the flesh but they didn't have my size and they're completely sold out online. After speaking to a few Air Force owners they've all said they had to get the size down anyways cause they're massive fitting! So Ell the beau went into town Saturday for me to snap them up quick and I'm now the proud owner of these babies! Cannot wait to rock them with my skinnies!

Anybody got any tips on Amsterdam things to do? What I should I pack?

Thanks Lovelies .. Heather xxx

Valentines, iPhones, Burgers and Pizzas...

Hope you've all had a lovely Valentines Weekend love birds...

This is a photo of me on Valentines Day (...well maybe in 2017 when I've finally achieved a banging body.. and um gone brunette)

Every single year I've been a Valentines HATER! Maybe it was cause I never had a boyfriend until I was about 19 and even then he was an ass so I just played it down as a stupid hallmark holiday. Then when I finally bagged myself a dreamy boyfriend who actually wanted to spoil me, he was in the Military and posted abroad so I had to spend Valentines alone anyways.
Don't get me wrong I still massively disagree with spending ridiculous amounts of money on gifts and having an Instagram war on who's "boy did good" the best. I also massively don't agree with going out for over priced meals on Valentines either.. did it once three years ago and it was just an embarrassing cringe of an evening ever. Literally PACKED in tight in a restaurant in Manchester, the tables to close the waiter couldn't even fit in-between to serve, I could eat off the girls plate next to me if i wanted to, never mind listening to their cringe ass conversation of what they're gonna be doing later on.. all whilst some old man's playing a Violin whilst I'm trying to eat in peace and another trying to sell single red roses. NOOOOOOO! It's all just to false and fake. You don't need one day a year to make your partner feel special. Everyday should be special and you should show your significant other you love them spontaneously throughout the year not predictably with every other person on Feb 14th.

I say I don't agree but I wouldn't turn these away if I had them delivered.. Probably just question what Elliot's feeling guilty about haha!

But saying all that, I'm a girl, a girly girl who loves romance (when its real and not fake) and seeing some of the amazing surprises some bfs have got their girls made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when checking my social media :) - so from now on, I'm no longer a valentines hater. I won't be going out for cringy meals anytime soon but I shall definitely be making more of an effort from now on (last year he didn't even get a card, whoops!)

So this Valentines day, I was working.. as a beautician in a hotel Valentines weekend is absolutely HECTIC! Literally loved up couples one after another, after another, after another coming in and treating each other to massages and facials! Its quite refreshing to see people of all ages celebrating Valentines and treating one another. The best thing about it as always is decorating the salon, sprinkling petals, love hearts, red roses and Valentines cupcakes.
We did an amazing deal this year which was £50 for two people, the woman gets a back massage and facial and the man gets a back and scalp massage. BARGAIN! No wonder we was so busy..!

So our Valentines was spent casually at the Trafford Centre looking for the best iPhone 6 deal for me as my contract was up last weekend. So I got myself a little present to me from me.. a 62GB gold iPhone 6 with unlimited calls, texts, free Spotify and 10GB of internet a month with 20% off my bill a month with Ell's military discount. BARGAIN! My last phone only had 1GB of internet a month and on average I use 8GB a month so you can imagine what my bill looked like every month so by upgrading I'm saving an absolute FORTUNE and got £90 back for my iPhone 5c! It's literally so worth shopping around, for years I've always gone for early upgrade and been stuck in the same crap contract costing me a fortune. So it was definitely waiting it out until the end and shopping around!

And to finish (as we've already just been through my opinion on Valentines meals) my first ever FIVE GUYS! Definitely not something you get every week seeing it is a little on the expensive side for fast food.. and the fact you'd be the size of a house! But it's definitely worth it for an indulgent treat... I had the cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce and BBQ sauce. And I can honestly say it's probably one of the best burgers I've ever had.. well worth its price in calories and cost!

So Valentines weekend is also our "official anniversary" we have like three no joke. We met in the August just before he left for Afghan for 6 months (so we celebrate that, well I do.. he gets dragged out and forced to spoil me) then in the Feb we met again after 6 months of none stop talking online and on Feb 15th he was going back to Afghan after his R&R was over and we had a (drunken) conversation of soooooo are we? Aren't we? Where do we go from here? Even think I said I Love You in my drunken state. LOL it was a hard 6 months you know.... So here we are Feb 15th our official 3 year anniversary!

We stopped at Guys which is a family pub/italian/hotel just up the road from where I work and the only place I know locally that has hot tubs in the room which is the reason that attracts me every time! We got the Sunday Saver Deal which is £80 for the room with jacuzzi bath (candles, champagne and petals are our own) breakfast in the morning (we got up late and missed breakfast but they was so accommodating and made up a sausage barm and a bacon butty on toast in the morning anyways) and an evening meal in either Old Nell's (the pub) or Guys (the Italian restaurant) - we choose to be little fattys and get takeout Pizza for the room instead so we could just have a 100% chilled evening. No dressing up.. No going for dinner.. just time together chilling out in our comfy's! (which you don't get to do a lot when you both still live at home)

So thats a round up of my Valentines weekend.. chilled out eating far to much fatty food with Ell and getting myself a brand new iPhone ;) highlight!

What's your thoughts on Valentines Day? Do you go all out or not bother at all?

Whatever you did I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
